Who We Are

Food Not Bombs collectives have been around since the 1980s. We are all-volunteer chapters that accept food that would otherwise be discarded by groceries, bakeries, farmers, and the like and prepare it for the community to share nutritious, plant-based meals.

 

Food Not Bombs Fort Lauderdale in particular was fighting for the right to share food in public spaces since it became illegal, but the ban has since been lifted. This website is here because we are still here, and we want Fort Lauderdale to know we will not stop combating scarcity with generosity.
